We Provide Bone and Gum Grafts at Jupiter Dentistry
All patients must have sufficient bone or gum tissue to support the dental implants in a Teeth Next Day® procedure. Sometimes, patients wait too long before finding a solution for their missing teeth, which weakens and deteriorates the jawbone. We may recommend a bone graft procedure if we find you have insufficient bone growth.
A bone graft involves applying freeze-dried bone to the area where we need to place the dental implant. We offer prosthetic bone or donated bone material for those who aren’t comfortable removing any from their own bodies. We can even apply the graft before or during the initial implant surgery, thanks to the latest technology we utilize.
Our doctors may recommend a gum graft if a patient has insufficient gum tissue to support the implant. It’s similar to a bone graft, except we remove tissue from the person’s palate. Gum grafts also require a healing period.
